Tech Resources for Students
All students must familiarize themselves with the following technological resources used at the College:
Volmail
Volmail is your College email account. It’s the way your instructors will often communicate with you.
Click the Volmail link below to log into Volmail, find your login information, access Password Manager, learn how to setup email on your phone or tablet (scroll to bottom of page), forward your Volmail to another account (click on “Volmail Tips”), and more. You’re able to reset your password to something that’s easier to remember.
MyJALC
MyJALC is what students use to register/add/drop classes, as well as view their schedules, grades, transcripts, bursar account balance and financial aid information. Log into MyJALC with your Volmail Username & Password by clicking the link below and then clicking the Login button near the top.
Desire2Learn
Many courses require you to use Desire2Learn (D2L), the college’s distance learning platform. Click the link below to log into D2L.
OneDrive
As a John A Logan student, you automatically get a full Terabyte (1,024 GB) of cloud storage on OneDrive. With OneDrive you can ditch your thumb drive and store your coursework in the cloud. Your OneDrive account also gives you access to Office365, the web based version of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote). To access your OneDrive click the link below.
Install Office FREE!
John A Logan students can install the full-featured Microsoft Office Suite on up to 5 computers (Windows or Mac) for FREE! Click the link below to install Office on your computer. You can also install MS Office Apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) on your phone or tablet for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
JALCtext
Campus closures and emergencies are communicated via JALCtext. Click the link below to sign up for and manage your JALCtext account.
Wireless
The College has several different wireless networks. “LoganLive! Student Wireless” is a high speed, high security WiFi network for student use only. Students can connect to “LoganLive! Student Wireless” with their Username/Student ID and Password. Make sure “Connect automatically” is checked.
Print for FREE!
John A Logan students can print for free, from any computer, tablet, or smart phone. Upload files 24/7 to the PrintNet website. Pick up print jobs in Room C115, Monday-Friday. Click the link below to get started.
Students can also print for free to the library copier, from any library computer.

Find Syllabi for Your Courses
Your course syllabus tells you important information about your class, such as which books are required and how you will be graded. If you need a copy of your syllabus, you can find it in the Syllabi Portal. Just click the link below.
Computer Labs
The College’s open access computer lab is located in C231A, and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. This lab may be closed from time to time for scheduled testing and training. Additional computers are available for use in the College’s library.
