Location – John A. Logan College is an accredited, comprehensive, two-year College located in Carterville, Illinois. The campus is a safe and friendly community set in a peaceful environment of scenic southern Illinois.
Academic Programs – Founded in 1967, John A. Logan College offers degrees in the Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Engineering Science, Associate in General Studies, and Associate in Applied Science, along with Certificate Of Achievement. The College offers over 100 different programs of study.
Outstanding Transfer Record – Study two years of general university requirements at John A. Logan College, and complete your last two years at Southern Illinois University, the University of Illinois, Southeast Missouri State, Murray State, or other four-year universities in the United States.
Facilities – The facilities at John A. Logan College are exceptional in purpose and application. Central in both function and location is the library, which houses more than 43,000 books, reference works, and periodicals. A computerized catalogue system gives John A. Logan College students immediate on-line access to the entire holdings of the library, as well as libraries throughout the country. Facilities include numerous computer labs, and outstanding theater and athletic facilities.
Caring Faculty and Staff – John A. Logan College’s faculty and staff care about students. Classes average 21 students per class. All instruction is offered by instructors who are experts in their field and have proven teaching abilities. A knowledgeable and friendly staff in admissions and student services provides advice and assistance in orientation, academic planning and transfer, immigration matters, tutoring, housing, and student activities.
Safety – The College has campus security provided by the Campus Police, ensuring a safe and secure learning environment.
Diverse Campus – John A. Logan College has an undergraduate population of over 4,000 students, international students from 30 foreign countries. The median age of a John A. Logan College student is 25; 39 percent are male and 61 percent are female.

Admission Requirements – A completed application form is required, as well as a high school diploma, official school records or transcripts in English, and a financial capability statement. John A. Logan College requires international students to have a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 520 or higher (on the written TOEFL), or a score of 190 or higher (on the computer TOEFL), or a score of 68 or higher (on the Internet based TOEFL), or a score of 59 on the PTE (Pearson Test of Academic English) test, or a 6 or higher the IELTS on file before they can be admitted, and students must meet all certificate or degree program admissions requirements.
