At John A. Logan College, the Admissions and Records Office oversees all transcript requests and transfer credit evaluations. Whether you need to order an official transcript, check the status of an evaluation, or learn how your previous coursework applies to your program, this page will guide you through the process. To Order Your John A. Logan College Transcript In Person:

You may order college transcripts in person in the Admissions Office (C201) at John A. Logan College during regular business hours. If you order your transcript in person, you will need to fill out an order form and pay the transcript fee in the Bursar’s Office at Ext. 8201. When possible, a request should be made well in advance of the date when the transcript is needed. Transcript requests can take up to two business days to process. If you would like to pick up your transcript in the Admissions and Records Office please bring a photo id for identification purposes. Official transcripts are $8 each. Students may request an unofficial transcript at no cost by emailing Admissions and Records at admissions@jalc.edu.

All requests can be submitted to Admissions and Records in office B29, or emailed to Jenifer Rongey at jeniferrongey@jalc.edu for processing.

In accordance with the Student Debt Assistance Act, the College will not withhold an official transcript or diploma due to an outstanding balance that includes tuition, course or other student fees, and the return of financial aid funds. All current and former students with an outstanding debt may request an official transcript to be sent to their self, other institutions of higher education for transfer purposes, current or potential employers, the U.S. Armed Forces or Illinois National Guard, or other organizations for State, federal, or institutional financial aid. When submitting a transcript request, a student with an outstanding debt will only be charged the transcript fee noted under Tuition and Fees on the College’s website.

To initiate a transcript evaluation, students must complete the Transcript Evaluation Form and send official transcripts to the Admissions and Records Office at John A. Logan College. Only coursework that applies to the student’s current degree or certificate program will be transcribed. Upon request, students may be required to provide course syllabi, textbook information, or other supporting materials to ensure accurate evaluation of transfer coursework. 

Official transcripts must be sent electronically from the issuing institution via Parchment or the National Student Clearinghouse directly to the Admissions and Records Office at John A. Logan College.If electronic submission is unavailable, official transcripts may be emailed to admissions@jalc.edu from the sending institution. Transcripts hand-delivered by the student will only be considered official if they remain in a sealed envelope provided by the issuing institution. All transcripts emailed from students will be considered unofficial but may be used for advising purposes to verify prerequisites. Unofficial transcripts will not be used to award credit. College credit may be granted for courses completed at other regionally accredited institutions.

International Transcripts

College coursework completed outside the United States must be evaluated by a credential evaluation service recognized by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). Evaluations must include translated course descriptions, and students are responsible for any associated fees.
