Advertising

The Office of Marketing, Public Relations, and Communications is responsible for all College related advertising. The College uses the following types of advertising:

  1. Digital and Social Media advertising places promotional information on social feeds and streaming services of select demographics. This is the most cost-effective advertising and can specifically target specific groups. This includes all social media sites, streaming services, and streaming radio.
  2. Radio advertising remains cost-effective and can target specific listing groups. Two major radio groups in southern Illinois cover the John A. Logan College district. The typical cost for a one-week campaign is $1,500 per radio group.
  3. Television advertising is the most expensive. A typical one-week campaign will cost $3,000 for select days and times.
  4. The College uses limited print media but does advertise with local newspapers on their websites and live-streamed local sporting events. Print advertising provides the least amount of return on investment.
