Job Type: Operational Staff
John A. Logan College is seeking a part-time Campus Law Enforcement Officer to work in the Campus Police Department. The primary focus of this position is to ensure and maintain a secure campus environment by providing protection and security of persons, facilities, and properties of John A. Logan College, patrolling campus and adjacent areas, and enforcing State of Illinois Laws, College policy, rules, and regulations.
Education & Experience Requirements
Education required: High school diploma or equivalent with thirty (30) hours of completed college credit hours at an accredited higher educational institute, must be 21 years of age, must be able to pass a security clearance, must possess a valid driver’s license, and must be able to obtain an Illinois FOID card
Education preferred: Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice
Experience required: None
Experience preferred: Completion of Illinois Basic Police Academy Training

Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the abovementioned duties. Duties must be performed on the John A. Logan College campus or designated location.
