Becoming a Logan Vol

New Student Orientation Days help incoming students start their transition to John A. Logan College. At these events, students learn about the JALC enrollment process, register for classes with an academic advisor, meet with the Financial Aid Office, explore campus resources, fill out the JALC Foundation scholarship application, take a campus tour and more.

    • There is still time to register for spring classes! If you need to apply for admissions, visit the financial aid office, make a payment, visit the general store, or register for classes we are open and available to meet with you.
  • Coffee & College Event – January 10, 2026 – A link and more information will be posted soon!
    • If you have a high school student freshman-senior you don’t want to miss this information session presented about scholarships/financial aid, admissions/transitioning to college, and dual credit/early college opportunities.

Students need to complete the Application for Admissions here and have test scores on file before attending or make an appointment to take the placement test. Also, students need to bring their driver’s license or state ID card.
