Michelle Lampley serves as the Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) Program Coordinator at John A. Logan College. She spent 15 years as a medical laboratory scientist, advancing to roles as a department supervisor and laboratory director. These clinical leadership experiences shaped her commitment to mentorship, team development, and high professional standards in healthcare.
For the past 10 years, Michelle has dedicated her career to education, leading and coordinating the MLT program. She oversees curriculum development, accreditation compliance, clinical partnerships, and student mentoring, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for certification and workforce success. Michelle is currently completing her Doctor of Education (EdD), with a research focus on improving student retention and success in undergraduate health sciences programs. Her doctoral work reflects her deep commitment to strengthening pathways for students in rigorous health science fields.
Through her work, Michelle advances John A. Logan College’s mission by enriching lives through education, fostering meaningful community partnerships, and preparing students to meet the region’s healthcare needs.
Michelle believes leadership means creating environments where people feel supported, challenged, and inspired to grow into confident professionals.
Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and loves gardening, finding both to be meaningful ways to recharge and nurture growth.
