Ashleigh earned her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, with advanced specializations in Curriculum and Instruction and Early Childhood Education, from National Louis University in December 2024. She received her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education/Language Arts from Southern Illinois University in 1989.

Prior to joining John A. Logan College, Ashleigh spent 26 years as the Childcare Director and Owner of Kid Academy and Skyline Academy in Marion.

In her current role, she partners closely with the early childhood workforce, supporting professionals as they pursue credentials and degrees, identify and apply for scholarships, and access funding opportunities such as Quality Improvement Grants and Smart Start Workforce Grants. At JALC, Ashleigh is on the Shared Governance Council, the staff Professional Development Committee, and the Logan Leadership task force. She also participates in the Southern Illinois Coalition for Children and Families, Southern Illinois Early Childhood Network, and collaborates with Birth to Five Illinois Action Council, Region 21.
