Associate in Arts

The Associate in Arts (AA) is a two-year degree program designed to provide students with a broad foundation in the liberal arts and sciences. It is ideal for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to pursue a bachelor’s degree in fields such as education, psychology, business, English, history, communications, and many more.

Students will complete the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) General Education Core Curriculum (GECC), which ensures smooth transfer of credits to participating four-year institutions in Illinois.

At John A. Logan College, students may explore various fields of study before declaring a major. Once a major is chosen, students can align their electives and coursework with a specific transfer pathway that supports their academic and career goals.
