JALC Partners with eCampus as the College’s New Bookstore Vendor

Published on June 20, 2023

John A. Logan College has selected eCampus as the College’s new bookstore vendor. College officials met with several vendors, ultimately choosing eCampus due to the company’s commitment to offering affordable textbooks to students. eCampus.com is headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, and is a premier online retailer of new, used, and electronic textbooks for sale or rent. They offer study materials and book buyback services. In addition to direct retail sales via the online eCampus.com storefront, the company partners with colleges, universities, and K-12 schools to serve as their official bookstore. The eCampus.com Virtual Bookstore Program is the official bookstore for over 150 schools nationwide.

“John A. Logan College is excited to be able to offer this new online opportunity to our students,” said Dr. Kirk Overstreet, President of JALC. “The College recognizes the many challenges students face while working on completing their certificates and degrees. The cost of textbooks is certainly one of those challenges.”

Overstreet added that with the new eCampus.com partnership, the College aims to lessen that burden by offering multiple format options from new, used, and digital purchases and a competitive marketplace from the same online shopping cart.

“A dynamic pricing model will help to ensure pricing is up-to-date and competitive across the web. Their focus on the student experience and dedication to accessibility and affordability with free shipping options and guaranteed buyback values at the time of purchase on our most used titles makes eCampus.com the right choice for John A. Logan College,” said Overstreet.

eCampus President and CEO Matt Montgomery is excited to add John A. Logan College to the company’s growing roster of schools.

“We are proud to have been chosen to work alongside John A. Logan College on their journey to providing their students with a unique online bookstore shopping experience,” said Montgomery. “We are dedicated to providing our best services to bring affordable and accessible course materials to John A. Logan College’s students and look forward to what is to come.”

The College’s current bookstore vendor will end operations on June 15, 2023. eCampus will begin operations in July. The College and eCampus will provide current John A. Logan College students with information regarding procedures for ordering books and materials. Students can begin setting up their eCampus account at https://jalc.ecampus.com.
