I chose JALC to pursue my educational career in elementary education because of the small class sizes, campus activities, and affordability!
I chose JALC because I wanted to have a smoother transition into the college life. Being able to go to a community college lets you explore your career options at a cheaper price. Community college saved a ton of stress, money, and risk!
I chose JALC because of the amazing people and the strong sense of community. The smaller class sizes let me build close relationships with my classmates and professors. It’s also affordable and close to home, which helps me stay connected with family and friends.
John A. Logan College has launched a new program with its in-district high schools and private schools to provide last-dollar scholarships to participating students.

What started with uncertainty turned into direction, opportunity, and a community that helped him grow at JALC.
Through Student Senate, Phi Theta Kappa, and campus involvement, Chandler discovered a passion for helping others and a clearer vision for his future.

Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society for community colleges, recognizing academic achievement and providing opportunities for leadership, service, and growth.
