My absolute favorite part of being a student at JALC was the friendly environment the staff and professors made on campus.
Because of JALC, I have grown into a more confident student, leader, and future nurse who is excited to make a difference.
The student organizations are the part of John A. that really boosted my confidence and made me get back into the swing of school.
Because of John A. Logan College, I feel like I have more of a family.
JALC has an incredibly supportive community and provides students with many opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Perfect weather, strong attendance, and overwhelmingly positive feedback helped make this year’s Southern Illinois Hunting & Fishing Days a major success.
Autumn is in the air at JALC. 🍂

Hunting, fishing, and a little disc golf, too! 🥏
28 players joined us at John A. Logan College on Saturday, September 26, for a disc golf tournament during Southern Illinois Hunting and Fishing Days.
Congratulations to ELT alumnus Jasper Bullock and his teammate Brendan Coller, who took first place after a sudden-death playoff! Disc Golf Club President Graham Wagner and Club Advisor Rob Craig teamed up to earn second place.
Thank you to ThrillHouse for donating gift cards for winners and door prizes, and to everyone who came out to play!

This video features a dramatized campus safety scenario performed by members of the JALC Criminal Justice Club.
Lock your vehicle and keep valuables out of sight. If you see someone pulling on vehicle doors or looking inside parked cars, do not confront them. Move to a safe location and report what you observed.
And yes, Chief Webb is still finding new places to pop up. 😂
See something? Say something. Call JALC Police at 618-985-5550.
Thank you to the Criminal Justice Club for helping us create this campus safety series!

Our students left The Choice Is Yours Game Show with prizes, big smiles, and plenty of energy on this Mon-slay! 🎉
Host Lecia J. Rives had students answering thought-provoking questions as they chose mystery prizes, all while practicing how to make decisions under pressure. They also learned how the Student Success Center can help them stay on track this semester.
Congratulations to our prize winners! And to everyone who signed the “Commit to Complete Fall 2026” banner: Let’s see this through! 💙
Friday wasn’t your typical 9 to 5! 🎶🦋
We celebrated Dolly Parton with coffee, crafts, music, food, a photo booth with Dolly and a little extra sparkle courtesy of our Cosmetology students.
Thanks to everyone who joined us to celebrate Dolly’s music and kindness at Logan! 💖💙
