I chose JALC to pursue my educational career in elementary education because of the small class sizes, campus activities, and affordability!
I chose JALC because I wanted to have a smoother transition into the college life. Being able to go to a community college lets you explore your career options at a cheaper price. Community college saved a ton of stress, money, and risk!
I chose JALC because of the amazing people and the strong sense of community. The smaller class sizes let me build close relationships with my classmates and professors. It’s also affordable and close to home, which helps me stay connected with family and friends.

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our most recent Highway Construction Careers Training Program (HCCTP) graduates!
Funded through the Illinois Department of Transportation, this program truly changes lives. These seven graduates put in the work, earned multiple certificates, served our campus and community through hands-on projects, and grew in confidence every step of the way.
Theyโre heading into union and apprenticeship careers with purpose and pride. Weโre so proud of their hard work and excited to see where they go next. ๐๐ฆพ
