My absolute favorite part of being a student at JALC was the friendly environment the staff and professors made on campus.
Because of JALC, I have grown into a more confident student, leader, and future nurse who is excited to make a difference.

John A. Logan College is pleased to announce the Spring 2026 President’s and Provost’s Lists. Each semester, any full-time student with a 4.0 grade-point average earns recognition on the President’s List. Any full-time student with a grade-point average between 3.55 and 3.99 earns recognition on the Provost’s List.

This time, we’re following Matt Ray, one of our dedicated grounds crew members, as he helps keep JALC looking its best. Whether it’s maintaining the grounds, caring for the landscape, preparing our baseball and softball fields, or tackling whatever the day brings, no two days are ever the same. Together, Matt and the rest of the grounds crew maintain 91 acres of mowable grounds, creating the beautiful and welcoming campus our students, employees, and visitors enjoy every day.
This week, John A. Logan College is participating in the Administrative Exchange Program with Heartland Community College in Normal, Illinois.
While some members of our team are visiting Heartland, we`re also excited to welcome some of their employees to our campus. Together, we`re sharing ideas, discussing challenges, celebrating successes, and learning from one another.
The exchange is strengthening relationships, encouraging the sharing of best practices, and inspiring new ideas that will benefit our students, employees, and college community.
