Community Education Instructors

Description:

We are looking for people eager to share their knowledge, talents or skills by teaching for JALC Community Education. This is your invitation to submit a proposal to teach a community class for the upcoming semester. Our mission is to offer new courses each semester, and we would love to add both classic topics and modern trends that would appeal to students of all ages, from youth to young at heart. Join JALC as a Community Education Instructor to share your passion and enrich the community with your knowledge!

We are especially interested in instructors for the following topics:

  • How to Start a Stock Market Investment Club
  • Doula Services – becoming one or hiring one (birth doula or death doula)
  • Shorthand
  • Financial Planning (for both beginners and those nearing retirement)
  • Estate Planning
  • Proper Use of Haircare Tools (for personal use or as a caregiver)
  • ASL (American Sign Language)
  • Conversational Languages (French, Spanish, Japanese)
  • Dance Varieties (clogging, line, Salsa, and both old and new trends such as Thriller, the Macarena, etc.)
  • Flash Mob Routine Planning/Performance
  • Personalized Wedding Dances
  • Chair Yoga
  • Needlecrafts (Cross stitch, embroidery, needle point, tatting)
  • Holiday Crafts (Wreaths, indoor decor crafts, outdoor porch displays)
  • Nutrition – advice from an RDN (Registered Dietitian Nutritionist)
  • Innocent uses for AI (Artificial Intelligence)
