Automotive Technology

Evan Giles didn’t think school was for him. But after discovering a passion for working on cars, he found a hands-on learning environment at JALC that finally clicked. Now, he’s gaining real-world experience, building confidence and working toward a future in the automotive field.

Nursing

Makayla Collins knew early on that she wanted a career in healthcare. At JALC, she found a place where she could grow, lead and fully engage in her future. Through the nursing program, leadership roles and strong campus support, she’s preparing for a career where she can make a difference.

handler Phemister came to JALC without a clear plan, but found much more than a place to take classes. Through involvement in Student Senate, Phi Theta Kappa, and campus projects, he discovered a supportive community and a passion for helping others. Now, he’s working toward transferring and building a future centered on student success.

Omar Naser chose JALC not once, but twice. After earning one degree and gaining experience in the workforce, he returned to build on his education and work toward a future in health administration. Along the way, he found community, personal growth, and a clearer sense of self.

Jacie Nunley came to JALC ready for a fresh start. What she found was a welcoming community, leadership opportunities, and the chance to keep moving forward. This spring, she will walk across the stage at graduation for the first time and earn her first degree.
