Upon successful completion of the AAS degree, the student will have the opportunity to enter the workforce as a welding technician. The program will prepare graduates for entry into union trades positions including boilermakers, plumbers & pipefitters, structural steel workers, rail car repair and general maintenance, small and medium job shops.

Mechatronics will provide hands-on experiences for students with real-life exposure to the profession. This program will provide the mechanical structure and hydraulic aspects of a mechatronics system.
Students who wish to earn this short-term certificate will be working with a programmable logic controller (PLC) or a programmable controller which is an industrial computer that has been ruggedized and adapted for the control of manufacturing processes.
