Emergency Medical Technician – Certificate

Students enrolled in the Emergency Medical Technician Certificate program must complete EMT 111, must turn 18 years of age, finish or be finished with their high school diploma or equivalent, and have a valid CPR Healthcare Provider Card certification prior to the end of EMT 111.

Nursing – Practical Nursing Full-Time Program – Certificate

The Practical Nursing Program is designed to provide an individual with the knowledge and skills to function as a safe and effective member of the health care team in the role of the practical nurse.

The Practical Nursing Program is designed to provide an individual with the knowledge and skills to function as a safe and effective member of the health care team in the role of the practical nurse.

Nursing Assistant – Certificate

This course is designed for students interested in becoming nursing assistant. Students receive training that will enable them to work in hospitals, long-term care facilities, or other health care facilities.

Construction Management Technology – AAS Degree

The Construction Management Technology degree at John A. Logan College prepares individuals to enter the construction filed as a field engineer, project manager, office engineer, project coordinator, estimator, or safety inspector.

Nursing (ADN) Part-Time Program – AAS Degree

The part-time program begins in August on odd number years (2025, 2027, 2029, etc.) and is four-semesters in length. Curriculum is delivered in a traditional, face-to-face format during non-traditional hours (evening courses and daytime clinicals). 

Nursing (ADN) Hybrid Online Full-Time – AAS Degree

The Hybrid ADN degree is a four-semester program that delivers course content in an online format with weekly lab sessions on campus and face-to-face clinical experiences in local healthcare facilities. This program is full-time only, and all students are expected to be in the area at least two to three days each week throughout the 15-month program.

Nursing (ADN) Full-Time Program – AAS Degree

The Associate Degree Nursing Program provides practical nurses the opportunity to achieve an associate degree in nursing and take the NCLEX-RN Exam; builds on the practical nurse program of education in communication skills, nursing process, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and basic nursing skills; provides appropriate educational opportunities to prepare the graduate to adhere to standards and scope of practice as set forth in the Illinois Nursing Act and American Nursing Association; and creates an environment that encourages lifelong learning and professional development.

Welding Technology – AAS Degree

Upon successful completion of the AAS degree, the student will have the opportunity to enter the workforce as a welding technician. The program will prepare graduates for entry into union trades positions including boilermakers, plumbers & pipefitters, structural steel workers, rail car repair and general maintenance, small and medium job shops.
