John A. Logan College officials have announced plans to hold a Saturday Signup Day on January 6 from 9 to Noon. College staff will be available to register students and assist with financial aid and other student services.

If you pass Dr. Marilyn Toliver on the John A. Logan Campus, don’t be alarmed if you cannot tell if she is coming or going. Thanks to an Early Childhood Education Grant that is providing scholarships to help with a teacher shortage, the longtime JALC Professor is in a constant pattern of either teaching, advising, or evaluating students in her growing program that is helping fill the immediate need for teachers in southern Illinois.

John A. Logan College will suspend operations for the holidays beginning on Sunday, December 24th and will resume operations on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024.
John A. Logan College’s Chris Maynor wears many hats. In addition to working in the College’s Maintenance Department, he is a Commander with District 15 of the Illinois VFW, a small business owner, and has volunteered on several Southern Illinois Honor Flights.

The 47th Annual AutumnFest Holiday Arts & Crafts Show will occur Saturday, November 11, from 9 AM to 4 PM and Sunday, November 12, from 10 AM – 4 PM on the Carterville campus of John A. Logan College.

Social Workers for Change, a new service club at John A. Logan College, is less than one month old but is already impacting the campus and the community.
John A. Logan College is hosting area high school students on Friday, October 20, for the second annual STEM Day.

The John A. Logan College Nursing Club will host a Trick or Treat event at the College’s main campus in Carterville on Saturday, October 21, from 1 PM to 3 PM, starting at the West Main Entrance near the McCabe Bell Tower. The event is free and open to the public.
