John A. Logan College will host the 49th Annual AutumnFest Holiday Arts and Crafts Show on Saturday, November 8, and Sunday, November 9, on the College’s main campus in Carterville.

A standing-room-only crowd gathered Tuesday at John A. Logan College to honor longtime Early Childhood Education Professor Dr. Marilyn Toliver during the dedication of the newly named Dr. Marilyn Toliver Early Childhood Education Center.
John A. Logan College is proud to present The Foreigner, the acclaimed comedy by Larry Shue. Performances are scheduled November 14 through 16 in O’Neil Auditorium.

John A. Logan College has honored longtime educator Dr. Marilyn Toliver by naming the College’s Head Start Room the Dr. Marilyn Toliver Room in recognition of her more than four decades of service in education, including 33 years leading the College’s Early Childhood Education Program.

The John A. Logan College Nursing Club will host its annual “Not-So-Scary Trick or Treat” event on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the College’s main campus in Carterville. The family-friendly event will take place at the West Main Entrance, the Conference Center, Brewer Gymnasium, and Bechtel Community Health Education Complex.

The Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) will hold its September meeting at Kaskaskia College. Community college presidents from across southern Illinois and the state will gather to recognize the 60th Anniversary of the Illinois Community College System.

A southern Illinois tradition is set to return to John A. Logan College this fall, as the Southern Illinois Celebration of National Hunting and Fishing Days marks its 38th year on Sept. 27-28.

John A. Logan College will hold a special ceremony on Monday, September 22, at 5:30 p.m. inside Logan Fitness, to officially rename the Community Health Education Complex in honor of the late Jerry Bechtel. The facility will now be known as the Jerry Bechtel Health Education Complex.
