Academic Planning & Curriculum

Academic Planning & Curriculum

The Office of Academic Planning supports the development, review, and continuous improvement of academic programs and curriculum at John A. Logan College. Our office coordinates curriculum processes, including new program and course development, revisions, program review, catalog updates, and compliance with institutional and state requirements. We collaborate with faculty, academic leadership, and campus partners to ensure programs remain current, student-focused, and aligned with workforce and transfer opportunities.

In addition, Academic Planning serves as a resource for transfer planning and institutional partnerships by coordinating transfer agreements, articulation pathways, and opportunities that support seamless student transitions to four-year institutions. Through collaboration with academic departments, transfer partners, and external stakeholders, we help strengthen pathways that promote student success and degree completion.

Our work also includes academic policy support, accreditation coordination, assessment initiatives, and processes that promote quality, consistency, and continuous improvement across the College’s academic offerings.

We are committed to supporting faculty, students, and institutional partners by ensuring academic programs are accessible, relevant, and designed to support student achievement.
