John A. Logan College Reschedules Graduation Ceremonies to Saturday Due to Predicted Severe Weather

Due to forecasted severe weather conditions, John A. Logan College has rescheduled its 2025 graduation ceremonies, originally set for Friday, May 16, to Saturday, May 17.

The revised ceremony times are as follows:

• The Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Engineering Science, and Associate in Fine Arts degrees ceremony, previously scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Friday, will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
• The Associate in Applied Science and certificate ceremony, originally set for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, has been rescheduled to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Doors for the 9:00 a.m. ceremony will open at 8:00 a.m.
The gym will be cleared after the 9:00 a.m. ceremony concludes, and doors for the 11:30 a.m. ceremony will reopen at 10:45 a.m.

Graduates should report to the Multi-purpose room adjacent to the gym no later than:

• 8:15 a.m. for the 9:00 a.m. ceremony
• 10:45 a.m. for the 11:30 a.m. ceremony

Faculty and staff should report to the Library to assemble by 8:15 a.m.

All other activities, including the Nurse Pinning ceremonies scheduled for today will proceed as scheduled.

Seating is first-come, first-served. The O’Neil Auditorium will offer additional overflow seating and a live video stream of the ceremonies.
