JALC to Hold Jacob “Jake” Rendleman Laboratory Dedication on March 11

A dedication ceremony for the Jacob “Jake” Rendleman Laboratory has been scheduled for Thursday, March 11 at 7:30 PM in the Workforce Education and Construction Management Building on the Carterville campus of John A. Logan College.  Due to COVID restrictions, the event is not open to the public but will be carried live on the College’s official social media pages and the John A. Logan College homepage.

Rendleman is a retired teacher, businessman, and farmer and has been the driving force behind the Agriculture program’s development at the College.  Rendleman has served on the John A. Logan College Board of Trustees since 1997. He was a member of the Illinois Community College Board from 2006 to 2018 and was the President of the Illinois Community College Trustees Association from 2003 to 2004. He has received numerous service awards, including the Illinois Community College Trustees Association Meritorious Service Award and the Ray Hartstein Trustee Achievement Award. He was named the SIU College of Agriculture Sciences Outstanding Alumnus in 2010.
