John A. Logan College will celebrate cultural diversity through music and cuisine at its upcoming World Music and Food Day, scheduled for Wednesday, April 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the JALC Conference Center.

The event will highlight the rich culinary and musical traditions from around the globe, offering students, faculty, staff, and community members an opportunity to explore international flavors and rhythms.

“Food and music are universal languages that unite people,” event organizer April Martinez said. “This day is about transcending borders and sharing the joy of cultural expression.”

Kouyate has earned acclaim for his ability to blend storytelling with complex melodies, delivering a musical experience rooted in centuries-old traditions.
