Logan College's Interpreter Preparation Program, a leader in online education since 1999.We are taking applications now for our new online program. The program began fall of 2007. It is part-time to allow you to work while you take it. It will take two years, part-time. Apply for admissions online. (view the video on how to apply for admissions) After you fill out your application, send an e-mail to Paula Willig at paulawillig@jalc.edu so she can register you for your classes. To apply for this program you must already be interpreting in the school system, or have an associates degree or certificate in interpreting. Registering for an Online Class: If you are a returning student, You can register on-line for the courses by going to John A. Logan College's website. Those who live in Illinois taking on-line courses pay in district rates. If you haven't applied to John A. Logan College, you can apply for admission on-line. Also, please e-mail Paula Willig or Terry Crain so that they can make sure you are enrolled in the courses that you want to take. Be sure to specify which courses you want in your e-mail. Before classes start: You will receive a welcome packet with information about how to navigate the classes, how to record video clips for the web, how to upload the video into your online class, CD's or DVD's with video clips for your classes, and other online helps. For an orientation to Blackboard, go to: http://www.jalc.edu/virtual_campus/ori/index.html After you register for your courses, you will have to enroll in Blackboard to access your course.
