Three Baseball Vols Sign with Four-Year Schools

Three players on the John A. Logan College baseball team signed letters of intent this week to continue their collegiate careers on scholarship at a four-year school upon completing their time at Logan next spring. Two of the three – Luke Hileman and Cale Wine – are Southern Illinois natives. The third is from Ohio, Tyler Newhart. Read more »

Great Scott! This Vol Can Play

John A. Logan College sophomore forward DaLita Scott is the model of consistency for the Lady Volunteers basketball team, averaging 12 points per game both last year and this year. Scott was an All-Conference performer last season with the Great Rivers Athletic Conference and also voted to the All-Region 24 team as a freshman.

DaLita Scott may be soft-spoken off the court, but her actions on the basketball court speak volumes.

The John A. Logan College sophomore forward was the lone returning starter from last year’s team. The Great Rivers Athletic Conference and All-Region 24 performer averaged 12 points and five rebounds per game as a freshman. Read more »

Mid-Continent University Cancels Games with Logan

Sources within the John A. Logan College athletic department reported late Wednesday evening that Thursday’s women’s and men’s home basketball games with Mid-Continent University have been cancelled by Mid-Continent officials. Read more »
