The John A. Logan College Police Department will conduct a free “Stop the Bleed” training event on Monday, March 25; Tuesday, March 26; and Saturday, March 30.  “Stop the Bleed” is a national initiative to train citizens to control massive bleeding during a life threatening emergency. The course was put together for mass casualties, work injuries, home injuries, vehicle crashes, or anywhere needed.

According to Officer Danny Zoller, a large number of deaths can be prevented by the skills learned in this class.

“A catastrophic event can happen at any time or place,” said Zoller. “Whether it is an accident at home or while traveling or an event with mass casualties, everyone can benefit from this training.”

Locations and times for the events are listed below.  If you have any questions, please contact the John A. Logan College Campus Police at (618) 985-5550.
