CARTERVILLE - The John A. Logan College men's basketball team has landed a new recruit in Murray State University freshman point guard Chad Culbreath.
The 5-foot-9, 165-pounder from Henning, TN started a couple games last season for the Racers. He had a high of 17 points in 16 minutes against Brescia. He scored 11 against Georgia and 10 against Middle Tennessee State.
At Ripley High School, Culbreath scored 2,600 career points, including 1,168 his senior year. Moreover, Ripley advanced to the state tourney during Culbreath's junior and senior seasons.
"Chad is a proven winner. He can shoot, pass and create off the dribble," said Logan head coach Kyle Smithpeters. "He makes everyone on the floor around him better. I expect Chad to be a key piece to next year's team."
