SCOTTSBORO, ALA. - The John A. Logan College men's golf team wrapped up its participation in a three-day tournament in Alabama Saturday with a second-place finish at Goose Pond Colony Golf Course.

The Vols shot a final round team score of 307 and three-day combined score of 912. Copiah-Lincoln College of Mississippi placed first overall. 

Logan finished ahead of third-place Rend Lake, Walters State, Vincennes, Mineral Area, Grand Rapids, Kaskaskia, and Lincoln Trail.

Top individual performer for the Vols was sophomore Kody Rendleman. The Murphysboro native carded a 74 Saturday and placed third overall.  

Freshman Nick Woolard followed with a 76. Austin Grote checked in with a 78. Freshman Hunter York contributed a 79 and sophomore Neal Northcott chipped in an 80.

"We did not play well today when compared to the way we played Friday," said JALC head coach Tom Ferris. "We made some progress this week, but we still have work to do."

The Vols return to action April 4th and 5th at Kokopelli Golf Course in Marion for the Logan Spring Invite.
