CARTERVILLE - Winter is here, but that doesn’t mean outdoor activities need to come to a halt.  The National Athletic Trainers Association has provided this handout, which highlights four common environmental cold injuries: hypothermia, frostbite, chilblain (trench foot) and immersion foot.  Take a look at the handout to learn about safety precautions you can take when competing during cold, wet and windy weather and signs to watch for if you need help.
