JALC Students Inducted in Psi Beta

CARTERVILLE – John A. Logan College’s chapter of Psi Beta, the national honor society for psychology in community colleges, grew by seven members yesterday as students were inducted into the society.
The seven new students inducted were Jasmine Brown (Carbondale), Josh Colson (Johnston City), Alexandra Kibler (Marion), Kadie Lind (Herrin), Corey Rohling (Carbondale), Alicia Sprague (Valier), and Katie Waldon (Carterville).
To be eligible for induction students must have earned a B or higher in a college psychology course, completed at least 12 credit hours of college coursework with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 or higher, have an interest in psychology, and be in good standing in the community.
Psi Beta’s mission is to encourage professional development and psychological literacy of students at two-year colleges through promotion and recognition of excellence in scholarship, leadership, research, and community service.
