Specialist II – CCR&R – INTERNAL ONLY

Job Type: Operational Staff

Description:

The CCR&R Specialist II serves as a customer service clerk and an assistant to the CCR&R office staff. In addition to general receptionist duties, they process incoming and outgoing mail and correspond with CCAP clients via phone and email. They also work with providers, running background checks, coordinating fingerprinting forms, and managing W-9s by working with IDHS/Comptroller as necessary to process payments to providers.

Required Qualifications
An associate’s degree from an accredited institution, or 5 + years of experience in an office setting.

Essential Functions & Position Duties

  • Performs basic receptionist duties (answering phones, greeting visitors, directing calls, etc.)
  • Maintains files (both electronic and hard copy)
  • Data entry
  • Maintains confidential and sensitive information
  • Processes requisitions
  • Works with budgets
  • Coordinates and attends meetings as appropriate; prepares and distributes minutes
  • Interface with college-restricted software systems
  • Supervisory duties (Student Workers)
  • Manipulates data in college-restricted software systems
  • Manipulate data in conjunction with an outside agency or CAD software system

Non-essential functions of the position

  • Other duties as assigned. Duties must be performed on the John A. Logan College campus or designated location.

Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; Monday – Friday

 Salary: $19.00 – $19.50, based on education and experience
