Description:
- Responsible for overseeing the institution-wide grants program
- Research viable funding opportunities, analyze competitive positioning and risk
- Develop, write, and submit grant applications according to guidelines
- Coordinate grant proposal teams
- Work with the Grant Facilitator, Project Directors and Business Services staff to ensure positive performance in the technical, fiscal and operations management of all active grant projects
- Ensure proper protocol is followed in conducting all formal change orders/modifications and timely submission of agency reports
- Facilitate and support strategic partnerships with business/industry, community organizations and other entities
- Participate in partnership meetings, assisting in negotiations of roles and duties, and the drafting of supportive documents
- Coordinate with program and contracting officers at local, state and federal funding agencies on grant administration issues
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Three years of human services, education, or other related field experience; direct experience with grant writing is a plus, evidence of researching, writing and reporting in higher education
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Familiarity with the Illinois Community College System, community college setting and other state/federal/private grant funding agencies; five years post-graduate experience in education or human services setting; excellent verbal and written communication skills; two years of grant reporting and grant data collection experience
