Full-time; Non-Teaching Professional; Level 1
Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday (some weekends and evenings when needed)
Salary range starts at: $40,000
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive program strategically designed to engage a growing population of alumni in the life and mission of John A. Logan College.
- Plan networking events, communicate with alums and coordinate alumni giving programs.
- Leverage alumni social media plans on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn to meet goals.
- Meet with alumni and families one-on-one and in groups to develop and strengthen relationships on behalf of the College, qualify them for potential leadership or major giving, and/or connect them with opportunities to support student success.
- Manage the Alumni Association board of directors and all related activity, including executive committee meetings, committee work, and quarterly board meetings.
- Maintain ongoing communication with members of the board to ensure meaningful involvement.
- Identify and establish relationships with alumni donors, work closely with the Executive Director on all fundraising campaigns and events.
- Manage the award process for Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award and the Pacesetter Award.
- Serve as an ex-officio member of the Foundation Board of Directors. Attend Foundation Quarterly meetings and provide an alumni report. Attend Foundation committee meetings as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Duties must be performed on John A. Logan campus or designated locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications, business, or related field
- Experience with program development and relationship management
- Experience recruiting and training volunteers
- Excels at building relationships and making connections
- Outstanding writing and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Fundraising experience
- Higher education or nonprofit experience
