• Provide academic advisement services to assigned students specifically in the field of applied technology
• Provide limited counseling services to students as needed
• Maintain curriculum guides
• Evaluate high school and/or college transcripts in order to advise students
• Actively participate in college departmental meetings in applied technology to stay current with trends and curriculum in the field
• Assist faculty in applied technology in actively recruiting students
• Travel to district high schools and other locations, including some overnight travel, to actively recruit students
• Stay abreast of policies and procedures in student services that impact students including assessment, scholarships, financial aid, Bursars, student success, and career services
• Assist with high school orientation programs and other events at the college to promote applied technology
• Provide students with accurate transfer services for those seeking to earn a bachelor’s degree
• Complete financial aid and graduation checks for students
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Duties must be performed on the John A. Logan campus, extension centers, district high schools, and designated locations as needed

Required Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree
-One year of work experience in HVAC, construction management, welding, electronics, automotive, or agriculture

Preferred Qualifications
-Master’s degree
-2-5 years of work experience and/or advising experience in the field of Applied Technology

Type of Position: Full-time; Professional Staff; Level 1

Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday (occasional evenings and weekends)

Salary range starts at: $40,000
