Areas of Responsibility
The Information Technology Department’s key areas of responsibility are as follows:
Support – Our goals is to provide high quality IT assistance and support for hardware, software and associated systems, to ensure that our faculty, staff and students can use technology efficiently and effectively.
Application – We provide the appropriate infrastructure, hardware and software tools and the means for helping faculty, staff and students understand and leverage their capabilities to enable full automation.
Technology – IT strives to systematically keep hardware, software and infrastructure resources current so that faculty, staff, and students may work effectively and efficiently. IT will manage the acquisition of software and site licenses in a manner that benefits both the college and those whom we serve.
Training – We are committed to ensuring that IT staff have adequate opportunities to acquire training in the use and support of technologies employed at JALC.
