State of Illinois MAP Grant
Based upon FAFSA results, this state-funded grant program is available to qualified Illinois students attending in–state colleges and universities. Eligibility is determined using a formula prescribed by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission.
By applying for financial assistance and agreeing to share that information with the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) you have been considered for the State of Illinois Monetary Award Program (MAP) Grant. Students enrolled at John A. Logan College will appear on our roster. The Financial Aid Office will notify all students enrolled for the respective semesters whether they will or will not be eligible for the grant. MAP grants are limited based on the number of applicants and funding levels appropriated by the Illinois General Assembly. Please be aware that in light of state funding constraints, reductions to estimated or actual MAP grants are possible.
Illinois residency, hours of enrollment, and eligibility of the program enrolled in are just some of the items the college must verify prior to awarding the state grant. If documentation is required for MAP eligibility, it must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office by the following dates:
- Semester Deadlines: Fall – January; Spring – April
