John A Logan College (JALC) recognizes that an ethnically, racially and culturally diverse student and faculty community enhances the educational experience of all students. As educators, we acknowledge our responsibility to provide dynamic learning opportunities that will prepare our students for success in an ever-changing global environment. 

Our campus-wide Diversity Challenge is an initiative designed to engage the JALC community in activities that promote learning, reflection and celebration around diversity. We have prepared a repository of resources and experiences for the purpose of expanding our appreciation of our local culture and its diverse populations. We challenge you to embrace and support diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) by participating in our diversity challenge events, student life activities and utilizing the informational resources linked below. We hope they educate, inspire and enrich your knowledge and understanding of the complexity of our diverse society and the importance of ongoing DEI conversations and programming.
