Workforce Development building

To meet the challenges of building and maintaining a workforce for the new millennium and to embrace the concept of lifelong learning, John A. Logan College created the Workforce Development and Community Education (WDCE) department in March 1998.

The programs included within the umbrella of WDCE assist individuals seeking employment, career advancement, job upgrading, new careers, occupational and leisure-oriented continuing education and/or basic education.

The WDCE department is community-responsive; course offerings are diverse, easily accessed throughout the College district, and made available through a flexible scheduling format. Collaborative partnerships are developed with local businesses, labor organizations, chambers of commerce, economic development groups, social service agencies, community based organizations, government, secondary schools, and other educational institutions.
