• Used by Illinois National Guard members
  • Pays for eligible tuition and fees (can be used at Illinois 2 or 4 year public colleges)
  • Completed one full year of service in the Illinois National Guard
  • Be an enlisted member of officer
  • Be enrolled in an Illinois public 2 or 4 year college
  • Not be in default of any student loan, nor owe a refund on any state or federal grant
  • Fill out the ING application every academic year

Submit your application on or before the deadline dates:

  • October 1st - Full Year Consideration
  • March 1st - Only 2nd Semester (2nd/3rd Quarter) and Summer Consideration
  • June 15th - Only Summer Term Consideration

ING Grant Application (open in internet explorer):

  • Scroll to bottom of screen
  • Check the “Agree” box
  • Click “Start Application”
  • Choose your branch of service
  • Fill out your personal information
  • Click “Next”
  • Enter your college information
  • Review your information
  • Click “Submit Application”
  • You will receive an email confirmation, forward that email to: tinagriffiths@jalc.edu
