  3. To foster leadership and core values in teaching and learning practice
  4. To promote the use of technology in education
  5. To develop and incorporate courses that promote student success and career planning
  6. To promote excellence in teaching and learning
  7. To establish a recognition program for those who excel with innovative ideas in teaching and learning practices
  8. To develop operational procedures for the center
  9. To facilitate and provide avenues for course, program and faculty enhancements
  10. To incorporate the Faculty and Staff Development Committee as an integral part of the center
  11. To foster orientation and mentoring among those in teaching and learning activities
