TRiO Program

The TRiO Program is a component of the Educational Opportunities Program (EOP) that is funded through the U.S. Department of Education. This program provides individual support to students who are low-income, first generation, and/or disabled.

The purpose of the TRiO program is to increase college retention and graduation rates for eligible students, and to foster a supportive climate for low-income and first generation college students and students with disabilities. Benefits provided may include:

Admission into the program is by application and is an ongoing process. Services will be provided as soon as a student is accepted into the program. Since TRiO is a federally funded program, services are provided at no cost to eligible students. If you have questions or would like to apply for admission, please contact the office at 618-985-3741, Ext. 8289 or click the link below to go to a TRiO application. You may print out the application, fill it out, and mail it to the Student Success Center.

Workshops and Cultural Activities

The Student Success Center sponsors a variety of workshops and cultural activities designed to help students with specific problems and to enhance their college experience.
