Lauvenia Robinson-Hill’s Biography

Lauvenia Robinson-Hill

Lauvenia Robinson-Hill has been affiliated with the College since 1975. She currently works as a mentor coordinator and advisor for the Student Success Center, providing personal and professional support and encouragement to Logan’s students. Before joining the staff of the SSC, she taught in the College’s Adult Basic/Secondary Education Department. She is the sponsor of the Black Students Association and serves on Logan’s Diversity Committee.

Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, she attended high school at Cedar Girls Academy. After graduation, she moved northward and enrolled in Southern Illinois University Carbondale where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education.

Lauvenia lives in Carbondale and has four grown children, Edmond, Theola, Rosalind, and Joe. She is active in her church, Bethel AME, and enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling.
