Mike Middleton’s Biography
Mike Middleton serves as a retention facilitator, working to increase the retention and graduation rates at the College. He also recruits and mentors TRiO students for the Student Success Center. This is Mike’s second stint at Logan. He previously worked as the coordinator of recruitment and as a counselor/academic advisor in the Admissions Office from 1997-2005.
Mike is from Marion and graduated from Marion High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving as a naval air crewman for five years and achieving the rank of Second Class Petty Officer. He attended John A. Logan College, earning an associate degree and then transferred to Southern Illinois University where he completed a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in journalism.
Mike and his wife, Karen, live in Marion with their daughter, Mylea Rose. He loves sports and enjoys playing golf. He’s a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, the Kentucky Wildcats, and the Salukis.
