Statement Regarding the Death of Stan Hale

John A. Logan College suffered a tremendous loss Tuesday when Associate Professor of English Stan Hale passed away while preparing his latest directorial effort at the College, Neighborhood Watch. Stan was a valued member of the College for over nineteen years; he has been a pioneer in the delivery of online instruction at the College, and a leader in both the theater community and the classroom. His impact on the College and the community has been immeasurable, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts and our prayers are now with his family during this difficult time. It is out of respect for his family and cast that all performances of Neighborhood Watch have been canceled. At this time funeral arrangements are incomplete and information will be made available upon receipt. In his honor, the College will observe moments of silence today at 11:05 AM and 1:05 PM. Again, on behalf of the College, I want to convey our deepest sympathy to the family of Stan Hale.
