John A. Logan College Theater Department to Perform
Tony Award Winning Play Art

The John A. Logan College Performance Series presents Art, winner of the 1998 Tony Award for Best Play, Friday, October 5 and Saturday, October 6 at 7:00 PM in the College's O'Neil Auditorium. Art is the story of three old friends arguing over a recently purchased expensive panting. Throughout the play lines are drawn and as the argument becomes personal their friendships are tested. After reaching their breaking point their actions, and reactions will affirm the power of the bond they share.

The play is directed by Mike Seagle and stars Ben Voelker of Hurst as Marc, Ian Cochron of Herrin as Serge and Arthur Capps of Makanda as Yvan. Tickets for the event are still available and be purchased at the door or by calling Student Activities, Ext. 8287 at one of the following numbers CARTERVILLE AND WILLIAMSON COUNTY - 985-3741 (operator) or 985-2828 (direct extension access); CARBONDALE AND JACKSON COUNTY - 549-7335 (operator) or 457-7676 (direct extension access); DU QUOIN - 542-8612; WEST FRANKFORT - 937-3438; CRAB ORCHARD, GORHAM; AND TRICO AREAS - 1-800-851-4720; AND TTY (deaf and hard of hearing) - 985-2752.
