CNAs gather at John A. Logan College

Karen Williams of Energy, a volunteer for Hospice of Southern Illinois, Inc., talks with persons attending the 2008 Certified Nursing Assistant's Conference held Monday, April 7, at John A. Logan College. Hundreds of CNAs turned out for the event, which addressed a number of topics important to the industry. Hospice is a special healthcare option for patients and families who are faced with a terminal illness. Care focuses on pain and symptom management with the goal of enhancing the quality of life.
