JALC Names Phil Minnis Interim Vice President for Administration

The John A. Logan College Board of Trustees has named Dean of Workforce Development and Community Education Phil Minnis interim Vice President for Administration. Minnis assumed his new duties on December 3 when current Vice President Larry Peterson left to take over as President of Shawnee Community College. Prior to being named Dean for Workforce Development and Community Education, Minnis served the College as Director of the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) Training Programs and Associate Dean for Adult Education and Literacy. He received both his BS and MS degrees from Southern Illinois University and is a veteran of the US Army. Minnis is active in several community and economic development organizations.
