Logan's Josiah Miller Signs with University of Central Missouri

John A. Logan College sophomore Josiah Miller from Muncie, Indiana, has signed a scholarship to play basketball next year at the University of Central Missouri. A 5-foot-10 guard, he averaged 14.3 points, three rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.6 steals per game this season, helping lead the Volunteers to a 27-5 record and the Great Rivers Athletic Conference title. He was chosen the Player of the Year in the GRAC and earned All-Region 24 honors.

"We are thrilled to have Josiah joining our program," said Kim Anderson, head men's basketball coach at Central Missouri. "Besides being an outstanding basketball player and person, he is a winner. We think he can contribute immediately at the guard position because of his ability to handle the ball, score, and play defense. He has played in an excellent program with a proven coach in Mark Imhoff and is the type of young man we want on our team to help us continue our success."

Miller says he is happy to have chance to continue his collegiate basketball career at Central Missouri.

"Central Missouri is a good school and it has a great basketball tradition," he said. "I felt really comfortable when I visited there, and I like the coaches. They care about their players as students not just as athletes."
