John A. Logan College is holding its 13th Annual Job Fair on Wednesday, March 26, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the College's Donald L. Brewer Gymnasium. Everyone is welcome to attend this free event and meet with more than 60 employers from throughout the region.
"We have broad range of employers coming to the job fair," said Lisa Hudgens, director of placement at Logan. "Companies in healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, law enforcement, and many other fields will be represented. I think there will be something for everyone who is looking f or employment."
Hudgens says the job fair has been successful in matching job seekers with employers and she encourages everyone interested to come prepared.
"I would advise anyone who comes to be dressed professionally and ready to interview," she said. "A lot of the companies will have applications for employment available and will accept resumes, and some will even conduct short interviews with potential candidates. It's a great opportunity for anyone who is looking for a job to meet with prospective employers, and I think it's essential for them to be prepared. Even if a person is coming just to do some initial networking, it will be the employer's first impression of them, and it's important to make a good first impression."
